Pacific Traders
Captain a ship, ride dynamic waves, and trade cargo between islands for profit.
This is an early, compact prototype focused on reaching your first Island and putting Trade Goods on your ship.
What You Can Do
- Sail an open ocean with wind-driven movement
- Raise/lower sails to control speed and slow down naturally with inertia.
- Trim sails to the wind for better efficiency and faster travel
- Steer at the helm and use the anchor to stop for trading/docking.
- Visit islands scattered across an “infinite” ocean and trade with island traders.
- Buy cargo crates, carry them by hand, and place them on your ship.
- Use a world map for navigation; islands become more useful once discovered.
Gameplay Loop
- Sail to an island.
- Talk to the trader to buy goods.
- Carry crates to your ship and place them safely.
- Thats the end of the current Demo Slice
Controls (Prototype)
- WASD – Move
- Mouse – Look
- E – Interact (helm, traders, stations, hatch/ladder prompts)
- M – Map
- G – Drop carried crate
- At the helm: steer + adjust sails / toggle anchor (prompts show the exact keys)
- At the mast: trim sails left/right (prompts show the exact keys)
- I open the popup settings, for changing mouse-sensitivity and Volume
Important Notes
- No save system yet – each run starts fresh.
- This build is about sailing + trading; combat/quests/custom ships come later.
- Expect some prototype rough edges.
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS.
The goal is to build a interactive World that can be traversed by Ship. Producing and Trading Goods and even fighting off others, that try to do the same.
